Hi friend!

I'm Kacie, the founder and editor of Chronically Chic, where chronic exhaustion and chronic style collide in the most fabulous way possible.. It's the perfect mix of wellness, beauty, and a dash of chaos that keeps life interesting. I’m here to guide you through life’s best and messiest moments with a heavy dose of humor, a sprinkle of love, and a whole lot of stylish hacks.

Whether you’re dealing with chronic health issues, a busy schedule, or trying to stay grounded, my mission is to empower you to live a healthier, happier life. We cover everything from non-toxic beauty and wellness hacks to stress-free home tips, allergy-friendly recipes, and productivity strategies. And, of course, there’s always room for a little style inspo and event-planning fun along the way!

So, let's talk about me for a sec, lol.

The Chaos Behind the Chic

Life threw me some major curveballs, like health struggles that made me question if my body had a vendetta against me, unexpected diagnoses, and sleepless nights that made me feel like a walking zombie. But guess what? It’s not all doom and gloom! I didn’t let any of that win. Instead, I built this blog as my playground for turning chaos into joy. Consider this your go-to for finding beauty when your world feels upside down.

Along with sharing my personal stories, I offer guides, digital products, and resources to make your life a little easier, more stylish, and definitely more fun. Oh, and don’t forget the merch! It’s as fabulous as you are!! Whether you're juggling chronic health issues, a mile-long to-do list, or just trying to keep it together, my mission is to help you live your healthiest, happiest, and least chaotic life possible.

Alright, let’s get into the good stuff like beauty and wellness, because if we’re being real, that’s where I got my start.

Makeup has been my thing forever. From experimenting in high school to freelancing as a makeup artist and working at Sephora, I thought I had it all figured out, until bam! Perioral dermatitis and a severe nickel allergy hit me like a ton of bricks. I had to overhaul my entire routine, switch to non-toxic products, and embrace a more natural look. And while that might have seemed like a setback at first, I learned to love simplicity in beauty, and honestly? It’s been refreshing.

Then there’s my wellness journey. Endless fatigue, skin rashes, food sensitivities (hello, dining-out roulette), and migraines that made me feel like a tiny construction crew was remodeling my brain. I even got surprised with an ADHD diagnosis at 25, adding a whole new layer of fun to unravel. But the real breakthrough came when I met an allergist who helped me figure out my triggers and set me on the path to holistic wellness. If I can turn my health rollercoaster into something manageable, I’m here to show you that it’s possible for you, too.

Food: A Love-Hate Relationship

Food’s always been at the center of my life. Growing up, our family meals were a delicious mix of zesty Italian flavors and comforting Southern dishes. I even pursued my passion for food by graduating from the Culinary Arts program at my vocational high school and working in the food industry for a few years. But then, bam! I found out I have food allergies, including chocolate (seriously, why chocolate?!). It was a tough pill to swallow.

But instead of giving up on cooking, I decided to get creative. Now, I’m a pro at adapting traditional recipes to fit my allergies without losing any flavor. It’s proof that you can still enjoy good food, even with restrictions.

When it comes to my home, I’ve made it my mission to create a non-toxic, allergen-free haven for me, my fiancé Jon, and our cat, Wesley. (Poor guy’s got his own set of allergies, bless him.) I've learned firsthand how making small changes at home can dramatically improve your quality of life. From non-toxic cleaning products to recipes, I'm all about making my home healthier, and I’m here to help you do the same.

The College Struggle

College was...well, it was a mess, to be honest. I changed my major so many times, I’m convinced I could’ve graduated with a degree in indecisiveness. At one point, I even tried to double major and minor, which led straight to burnout that everybody saw coming but me... I thought I was going to be a surgeon, a makeup mogul, and a Broadway star… (hey, you still never know about those last two...)

To make it all work, I became obsessed with time management: color-coded planners, Pomodoro technique, you name it. But the real lesson? Flexibility and self-care are way more important than any productivity hack.

Prioritizing Self-Care

I used to be the queen of ignoring my own needs, y’all. I’d push myself until I was practically running on fumes, and burnout became my middle name. My health, career, and relationships all took a hit. But after some serious soul-searching, therapy, and a boatload of self-help books, I realized that self-care isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. Now, I’m all about mindfulness, positive affirmations, and downtime. Whether I’m zoning out with The Sims, taking a long bath, or just binge-watching reality TV with Jon and Wesley, I know that taking time for myself is essential.

If you’re anything like me, you might struggle to make yourself a priority. I’m here to tell you: it’s okay to put yourself first. Whether it’s taking a 10-minute break to breathe, indulging in a skincare ritual, or saying ‘nah’ to something that drains you, it's all about finding your balance (and also keeping your sanity, LOL).

Fashion: An Expression of Me

When it comes to fashion, I’ve gone through every style phase imaginable: preppy, punk, hipster, you name it. And now? My style is a mix of everything I adore, from glam to vintage with a little whimsy thrown in. Fashion is about self-expression, and I wear what makes me feel good, not necessarily what’s “in.” I’m all for fun trends, but I’m also the first person to say, “Screw trends, I wear what I want!” LOL. Whether it’s a cute dress for a night out or comfy loungewear for a cozy day at home, my style always feels true to who I am.

Travel: Collecting Memories

After COVID, Jon and I discovered a shared love for travel, even if we’re just exploring our own backyard. We’ve stumbled upon hidden local gems and braved the tourist-packed hotspots around the country, each trip filled with new experiences and unforgettable moments. We love connecting with different people and collecting stories that are too good not to share. Whether we're in a bustling city or a quiet town, we savor every moment. And we love sharing our adventures, hoping to inspire your own.

My Struggles and Growth

Life hasn’t been easy. From bullies and health battles to wrestling with anxiety and loss (losing my dad to cancer was the biggest hit), I’ve had my fair share of struggles. But I’ve learned to grow through it all, and I want to help you do the same. I’m no guru… just a work-in-progress friend sharing her story, hoping it helps you write yours.

How I Work

Ideas hit me at the most random times... shampooing my hair, deep into a Netflix binge, or mid-conversation with friends. I jot down everything on my phone, because let’s be real, my brain is a sieve. Personal stories, hot trends, life hacks... I’m constantly brainstorming to bring you fresh content!

Mornings are my jam. I kick off my day with a writing session, tea mug in hand, and a killer playlist in the background. I block out time to write and edit, resisting the social media rabbit hole (it’s tough, but I try).

For product reviews, I go full-on “Nancy Drew Mode.” I research ingredients, check scientific studies, and dig through expert reviews. I test everything on myself, giving you the real scoop. No fake hype, just honesty.

Wrapping Up

So that’s me, Kacie, your favorite chronic-everything-warrior. I’m here to help you navigate life with style, wellness, and humor. I believe in finding joy even in chaos, and I’m excited to share this space with you.

Thanks for hanging out with me. Whether you’re here for the wellness tips, the fashion inspo, or just to find a friend who gets it, welcome! Drop me a comment or message anytime! I’d love to hear from you!!

Love,

Kacie 💖
